Paperboard and Corrugated Partitions—Interior Protective Green Packaging Simplified at Salazar Packaging
Partitions have a number of uses. From keeping a product upright, providing product and/or label protection and stability, creating a professional and assembled look upon shipment arrival, to increasing stacking strength, partitions can solve a variety of problems at once, and often times at minimal cost.
A packaging application that is ideal for multiple—often times, uniform—products, partitions create cells to allow spacing, separation and the prevention of potential damage involved in product-to-product contact. If needed, additional support and padding may be implemented on the four side walls (perimeter air cell), as well as above and below to reinforce and protect against damage caused by exterior impact. The structural support within the interior also means increasing the box’s overall strength.
Often it is assumed that adding additional interior packaging will lead to a rise in costs, but this cost is often offset by the reduction of the time and labor involved in using loose void fill, foam, bubble wrap or other protective products implemented by hand. Partitions provide better presentation upon arrival and minimize unpacking time for your customers.
When using corrugated partitions inside of a corrugated shipping container, the entire packaging can be reused, recycled and is biodegradable as well. Additionally, utilizing partitions often offsets the need for void fill, plastic, foam and various less green products.
Custom Options Available
Partitions are not a “Stock” item, as they need to be sized correctly to be effective. However, they can be made custom to your specifications in either paperboard or corrugated board for low minimums, with no tooling required, with the option of having them produced and delivered pre-assembled in nearly any configuration you require.
It may not always be easy to determine if a partition is the right or best solution for your needs, but at Salazar Packaging we have the experience and knowledge to help you make the most informed decision.
